Accounting Aid Society began its Summer Tax Program May 5. The program serves low and moderate income residents who missed the April 15 tax deadline, have past year returns or credits to file, need to amend a return, or did not file for the tax rebate (economic stimulus payment).
Eligibility for the free service is based on annual household income and is available to families with annual household incomes of $40,000 or less, and individuals with annual incomes of $20,000 or less.
