Kieko Terada-Tsukuda A volunteer since 2004, Kieko gave a total of 245.5 volunteer hours this year, 12 times the volunteer average in 2008. Without her assistance, our Homebound Tax Program and Focus: HOPE tax site would have struggled under tremendous client demand for our services. All season, she could be counted on to make sure clients were being served.
Steven Gary A volunteer since 2007, high school student Steven Gary began volunteering with Accounting Aid Society at our Duffield Branch Library location as an administrative volunteer. This year, Steven was one of only two high school students to go through training and receive certification as a tax preparer. Steven spent nearly every Saturday of the tax season preparing returns at the Duffield Branch Library.

Jennifer Stocking A new volunteer this year, Jennifer is a student at Wayne State University. She dedicated a total of 14 days at various tax sites in the metro Detroit area serving Accounting Aid tax clients. Throughout the season, Jennifer was incredibly flexible and helpful, filling in wherever the need was greatest. Tax Director Marshall Hunt presents her award.

Lauren King First year tax volunteer and high school senior Lauren King was the recipient of the Outstanding Youth Award, presented recently by United Way for Southeastern Michigan. Lauren was acknowledged at the Accounting Aid party.
